Teligent 314 System Redefines Home and Small Phone System Categories

Creative Integrated Systems has entered the phone system market with a new product called the Teligent 314 Phone System. That system redefines the terms used by the phone industry. Most phone product experts divide small office phone systems into two categories: KSU systems and KSU-less systems. The Teligent 314 system bridges the gap between these two categories providing the complete features of a KSU system with the easy installation of a KSU-less system.
In a KSU system as shown below, the Key Service Unit( KSU) is a box that contains the switching and control functions for the entire system. KSU systems typically support advanced business phone features such as call forwarding, extension dialing or voice mail options, but they require either special cabling or "star wiring". On the other hand, KSU-less systems have limited features, but they have become very popular because they are easier to install since they don't require a separate pair of wires back to the KSU from each phone.

KSU, KSU-less vs. Teligent 314

The Teligent 314 Series system Controller connects to the phone company wires and transforms the existing single in-house phone wire in the walls into a 4 voice channel and digital data channel path to each phone. The system supports all of the advanced business phone features without requiring the wiring complexity associated with KSU systems.
